Part of my high contrast film experiment. My favorite of the shoot. Its a bridge hallway in my high school. also the subject of my line drawing exploration in the darkroom.
wow. this is a really great shot. the high contrast really gives it a sort of creepy feel but it's really cool. i love the pipes at the top of the picture. they look awesome. all the lines bring you to the center of the picture and the black square in the middle. great shot. i wish i could get mine to come out like this. did you have to do a lot of dodging or burning to get the contrast like that?
btw, you have an awesome school if you have bridge hallways like that. i'm so jealous haha

actually it was suprisingly easy. The film we used was a special high contrast 200 that our teacher gave us a roll of. (I got 2 because I paid for a second) We had some standard contrast filters and I used the highest contrast I could and this was it. I burned the center line down the corridor (coming out of photo) and I didnt care for the effect. the was my first print of the negative and my favorite. And thank you very much.
yea I have "souless in the snow" and another really nice shot of him on a rainbow rail where he looks invisible but I seem to have misplaced that print.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
